Welcome to TWU Local 896! We are a Local Wardrobe Union based in Houston and Galveston, TX.
We have been in existence since April1, 1964! We are proud to be part of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, one of he largest Unions in the United States!
We can provide a multitude of services for your Wardrobe needs. We have dressers, stitchers, hair & makeup artists, milliners, cobblers, beaders and more!
Ask about how we can help you and your Theater! We are happy to answer all your questions and fill all of your Wardrobe-related needs!
We are also always looking for people who are interested in working in the Wardrobe field. If you are 21 years of age or older, please contact us about joining our ranks! You can earn some extra money on the side. Most jobs involve nights, are part-time and can accommodate your regular work schedule. We hope to hear from you!
Local 896 represents Dressers, Stitchers, and Hair (including wigs and make-up). We offer a full range of costume production, craft services, wardrobe maintenance and hair and wig services. We care about quality service to our venues and quality representation for our members.
